Under Contract

See this cute house?
It's OFF the market! That's right, we are officially under contract here on our house!
We can finally start looking for a home in Dallas and set some dates for our relocation!
We are really so excited and relieved to be under contract, and now we can enjoy the coming week.....Lanny's graduation from medical school and getting to see so much family!

Nine Months

Cate is NINE months old?!
Where has the time gone? Everyday we're amused by the little expressions and pieces of her personality that shine through. We've been busy trying to sell the house, lots of lookers, but no one's made an offer yet, but we're hopeful that right person is coming soon!

Nine Month Stats
Height: 29.5 inches (97%)
Weight: 23lbs 14.8 oz (99%)
Head: can't recall, but 95%

Cate is a big girl, but our doctor isn't concerned that she's too big. He feels like she's going to slow the weight gain in the coming months as she becomes more mobile, we're also going to cut down on the amount of formula she's getting and add more "food" to her daily routine.

Cate is a VERY happy girl, but she does have her moments (especially when she needs some sleep). She has an infectious smile that keeps us smiling and laughing all day!

Cate loves her daddy, she had a big time playing with his hat this weekend after he got home from a round of golf with buddies from school.
See....Happy Girl

So cute!

Story time with Dad

Aren't I lucky?

She's on the move!

Getting faster everyday!

Hi Momma!

Clapping all the time!

Cate LOVES Maggie, she crawls all over her, loves to play with her collar

I just love this one

Smiling at Dad

Playing with her favorite toys

She's into everything

She wasn't a fan of being alone in the jumphouse at Harrison's 6th birthday

Cate and her Daddy

Sorry for the long post, but the computer is put away a lot of the time while we're showing the house. Cate is growing so fast and changing everyday, but loves her mama, dada and Maggie (though she can't say Maggie yet!). She's a great eater (as noticed by her size). We're getting our top teeth in, so we're not the greatest sleeper lately. She's loves to be heard-she will yell, yes yell, until you stop talking and pay attention to her (a habit we're trying to break). Daddy's graduation is next week, so we're looking forward to having family in town, I bet those teeth are finally in by then!

Let's Go DUKE!!!

We have a VERY happy household today! Cate has been practicing her Let's Go Duke chant all weekend with the Final Four taking place and I think she must have been the missing piece these last few years for the Blue Devils! I told Lanny last night that I thought Cate was going to say Duke before Momma.....I've been doing the chant A LOT, especially since Cate can clap along!

Since I was off today, we packed up and headed up to campus to help welcome home the National Champion Blue Devils! It was so fun to be around so many people who love Duke basketball and to see how excited the team and Coach K were to have so many fans in Cameron Indoor waiting for them to arrive!

Cate was such a trooper and clapped and yelled the entire time. We are definitely going to miss being so close to Duke basketball when we leave North Carolina!

(these photos are from my phone....yep, I forgot the camera, so this is the best we could do!)

Eight Months

So I'm a little late posting.....things are a bit crazy here in Durham these days.
I'm also late getting Cate's picture, we were in Utah on the actually 8 month day, and like I said we're a little busy around here trying to get ready to move (sell our house, buy a new one, find movers, find a job for me, childcare for Cate....the list goes on and on!)

Cate does a LOT of waving these days, especially while at Sam's and Target and especially to other little kids. She's a little delayed sometimes, and will wave once the person is gone, but it still makes her excited!

She is also clapping all the time, she loves getting a yea from mom and dad, so she does this often!

Still no crawling, but she is very efficient rolling wherever she wants to be. We're in trouble when she starts crawling! She's been a restless sleeper of late, mainly because the top teeth are coming in, so she wants to chew on everything.
Cate is still a happy little girl with mom and dad around, and she LOVES her Maggie!
