Ten Months

This little on is TEN months old, seriously where does the time go?!

As you can see, she is quite mobile now, she follows us (her dad) around the house everywhere.

She has also started cruising on the furniture and our legs, so we got her this shopping cart.

She is Miss Personality these days, but very clingy to Mom and Dad

I like how she looks like she's reading the sign like a newspaper.

She obviously can't be left alone for anything, she loves getting into Maggie's water bowl when we leave the room, or tasting anything she can find on the floor....thank goodness Maggie is back from grandma's house to help us keep the floors clean!

Cate is still a great eater, loves her "O"s and puffs, and she eats all her oatmeal and fruit each morning, yogurt or fruit/veggie at lunch, and rice with a meat and veggie for dinner. Even with all this eating, Cate had lost a pound when we took her to the doctor while we were in Texas, and not because she was sick, but because she's become so active in the last month. She has also regressed on her sleep habits, she used to go down no problem and sleep through the night. Now we're lucky if she sleeps two hours straight before she starts wailing. Good times.

We're packing up the house and getting ready for the big move. We're going to spend some time in Arkansas before we head to Dallas, so we're leaving next week! I have two more days of work this week, and we'll be spending time with friends saying good-byes. Seems like just yesterday we found out we were officially moving to Dallas, and now it's a week away!

Mother's Day

We had a great mother's day this year! Last year, I was very pregnant and walking around for graduation all day....this year, Cate and Lanny made me a beautiful photo book of the first nine months with Cate and Lan got me my beautiful flowers!

We also went to a Durham Bulls game (probably for the last time!) with my parents and Callie and Rob who were all still in town from Lanny's graduation. We lucked out with a beautiful afternoon and Cate loved all the people watching

We spent the last week in Dallas house hunting and interviewing, so we are exhausted from our travels, PLUS Cate and I were sick the entire time we were there, so poor Lan barely got to sleep from all the terrible noises Cate and I were making. We had a great week though, got to see family and friends, makes us even more excited about the big move in June.

Cate also decided to start pulling up on everything, so life is a little more dangerous as she tumbles every now and then. Don't worry Aunt Callie, Lanny lowered the crib last night before bed, so she won't be crawling over the edge!

Trust Me I'm a Doctor

We celebrated Lanny's graduation last week here in Durham, and so many people were able to come and make it such a special weekend. We started with El Rodeo on Friday night (our favorite), even got to embarrass Aunt Suzie with a Happy Birthday song and large sombrero, though I have no photos (I forgot the camera that night!).

On Saturday, we all got dressed up and headed to the Dean Smith Center-the Dean Dome- for the graduation ceremony. There is a LOT of Carolina blue in that place! The medical school does a private graduation ceremony, so only the medical students were there with their family and friends, so we were out of there in less than 2 hours! I know everyone was so proud to see Lanny walk across that stage and head "Doctor of Medicine".

After the graduation ceremony, everyone got comfy and headed to our house for a celebration dinner with Texas style barbeque and of course cake!
