Go Frogs!

We celebrated New Year's Day at the Baade's house with several of our TCU friends cheering the Horned Frogs to a Rose Bowl victory and a perfect season!  We had a great time playing with friends, eating lots of food, and of course cheering for the Frogs.  Here are a few photos I borrowed from the Baade's blog.

Cate's Tree

In early December when Grandma and Grandpa were here, they brought Cate her very own tree for her room.  Of course it's colors are very bright and energetic just like Miss Cate, here are a few pictures from putting it together and the finished product in her room.

Dear Santa....

Remember this adorable little baby, so happy to see the big guy?

Jump ahead one year.....

We expected no less from Cate.  We've been talking about Santa for about two weeks, she can even say "Ho, Ho, Ho" when asked what Santa says.  But as we walked up to meet him today, her little fingernails just dug deeper into my arm, and the waterworks (the real ones, not the fake ones we see all too often) started.  He was a great Santa and didn't take it personally when she exploded.  What a difference a year makes!

Christmas Part 2

We celebrated Christmas one more time last weekend when Grandma and Grandpa Bodemann came to Dallas.  Cate had a fun weekend playing with them and spending time with Aunt Rosie and Uncle Brian.
Cate got a basketball goal from Rosie and Brian, and she loves it!

Opening the goal...she when straight for the big box
She figured it out pretty quick

Slam Dunk!
Santa also delivered Cate's new chair (his elves were a little late on the request).  Cate loves to crawl in and out of the chair and to have her own place in the living room.

She also loves to stand and jump on it....we're working on breaking that habit.

Cate also got a great table and chairs from Grandma and Grandpa, I'll get some photos of her playing at them soon, she's already putting stuffed animals in the chairs...I guess a tea party is coming in our near future!
