Baby Butler's Shower

On Saturday I attended a baby shower for my good friend Courtney and her little girl due to arrive in October. This is one of the reasons I love being back in Dallas, getting to attend and be apart of parties and celebrations for my friends.

Cate was going to attend the party with me, but Dad got home in time to have a Daddy-Daughter afternoon....and I think they both enjoyed it, and I know I enjoyed the shower not chasing Cate all over or keeping her from opening Baby Butler's goodies!

Easton turns One

Last weekend we headed up to Frisco to help Easton celebrate his first birthday, and let me tell you, Cate had a blast! There lots of other children there and Cate did pretty well playing with others and not hitting anyone (She likes to "pet" people, which is more like a hit....).

The Rehwalds had a blowup waterslide in the backyard and Cate loved the pool part of it, she just walked around, splashed and had a great time chasing the balls in the pool.

Girls Weekend

I am way behind on my posting....Cate and I just haven't felt much like sitting at the computer this summer! The first weekend in August Cate and Maggie headed to my parent's house for the weekend, and I headed to Austin with my girlfriends from TCU. It was the first time we'd ALL (10) been together since our wedding 3 years ago. I know I had so much fun with these girls during the weekend, there was barely a moment of silence-and that was when we were sleeping!

We cooked meals, swam all afternoon and just enjoyed each other's company.

We had a great weekend, thanks to Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Mike for all their help getting our house cleaned up and put together for the party (especially playing with Cate so I could get a few things done!) I really can't believe a year has already passed, but Cate is so much fun right now, she's into everything....pulling out books, opening cabinets and drawers, and loving on Maggie. It's going to amazing to watch her grow this year!
