Hard to believe 2 years has already flown by....and how much life has changed. I know we are both very lucky to get to enjoy the ride together! The hard part now is just waiting for Cate to arrive (which according to the doc isn't likely to be early!).

Almost there.....
The nursery is nearly complete, minus little details (completing the shelf above the crib, and fixing the knobs on the changing table). We couldn't be happier with how the bedding turned out, Terri did an amazing job turning what was in my head into reality! She's also responsible for the pillows in the room too, she helped with those for our wedding!
Inside the crib.....lots of polk dots!
Maggie and I (38 weeks) sitting in Cate's room.....Maggie's been wondering why we spend so much time in there. I think she's in for a surprise once Cate arrives!

Baby Shower for Cate
The diaper cake topper was Cate's name made out of polymer clay. My aunt made it so that we could put toothpicks in the bottom of each letter and there's a hole in the top of each the size of a candle, so now we're all set for Cate's first birthday!
Monogramed sleeper and bib, everything we got was just so cute. We now have closet full of great things for her to wear!
Dr. Julie (Bodemann) Goodwin
Dr and Mr Goodwin.
I tease only John....John doesn't technically become Dr. Goodwin until June when UT Southwestern has their graduation, so he got some ribbing all weekend that Julie was the first Dr. Goodwin.
Congratulations Julie, we couldn't be more proud of you or love you more!
Carolyn's Graduation
To start, I participated in graduation at Duke on Mother's Day. I say it like that because I technically graduate with my masters in nursing in September after I complete the 3 credit hours remaining this summer. But nonetheless, it was my graduation weekend, so the whole the family was here to celebrate (and see the growing belly!)
The whole family outside the Duke Chapel after the School of Nursing's ceremony. Luckily, the rain held off and we had a beautiful day. You would think the robes might hide the belly a little more, but I think they just make you more rotund......

Week 28
Here is an awful picture of me at around 28 weeks.....as you can see Cate is steadily growing. My 28 week check up went well, no worries for gestational diabetes (for some reason I was petrified I had GD) and my blood counts are good. I'm still able to sleep through most of the night, but since I'm up at around 5-5:30 many mornings, I don't know if I would make it much past then!
Here is the latest update to Cate's room we've made in the past few weeks....we're keeping the double bed in her room for an extra place for company and for Mom's naps on occasion!
